AIMPB Launches Digital E-Cards for Certified Bicycle Mechanics

The International Association of Professional Bicycle Mechanics (AIMPB) is proud to introduce its new Digital E-Cards for AIMPB Certified Mechanics, a new step forward in the digitalization and international recognition of professional bicycle mechanics.

The new e-cards provide certified mechanics with a secure and professional digital credential that can be stored directly on their smartphone through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Each credential identifies the mechanic’s name, AIMPB certification level, unique certification ID, country, certification validity and current status, together with a QR code that allows third parties to verify the certification.

More than a digital card

The AIMPB e-card is designed to be much more than a digital version of a traditional membership card.

Through the QR code, employers, bicycle shops, customers, event organizers and other professionals can verify the authenticity and current status of an AIMPB certification.

This creates a simple and reliable way to demonstrate professional qualifications wherever a certified AIMPB mechanic works.

Always available on your phone

Once issued, the credential can be added directly to the mechanic’s smartphone and kept in their digital wallet.

There is no need to carry a physical card or install a special AIMPB application.

The digital credential can also be updated when relevant information changes, helping ensure that the information associated with the certification remains current.
