How to be part of AIMPB
Why is a Certification important?
FIRST ORDER certification is the only certification method that is independently developed and verified, thereby eliminating conflict of interest and providing meaning of value:
Third Order Certification: It is a self-declaration. “I am a certified bicycle mechanic because I meet the criteria that I have defined myself, therefore I can say so”.
Second Order Certification: This is when a bicycle parts or bicycle tool company creates its own training and brand promotion program. “I am a certified bicycle mechanic because I meet the criteria of a company that provided me with the training.”.
First Order Certification verifies that a product, process or service meets defined, independent industry criteria or standards as reviewed by an impartial party. “I am a certified bicycle mechanic because I meet the criteria defined by an impartial organization or association that maintains the industry standard”.
CERTIFIED MECHANICS are industry professionals who have been recognized by the Association for their professionalism, knowledge, good practices, commitment and in general for their demonstrated aptitudes in general and specialized bicycle mechanics.
A CERTIFIED MECHANIC is evaluated every two years practically and theoretically, and is recognized by the industry and the Association as a Professional Bicycle Mechanic.
The most demanding clients prefer and trust this type of mechanics and the AIMPB to monitor them over time.
Once registration is complete, you will be eligible to apply as an AIMPB Certified Mechanic in one of three ways: AIMPB Certified Mechanics must meet the following criteria:
- If you have been a Certified Mechanic for less than 2 years, by a first-class Training Center endorsed by the AIMPB: Cost 35 USD/EURO
- If you have been a certified Mechanic for more than 2 years, by a first-class Training Center endorsed by the AIMPB: Presenting de ECC Update Version: Cost 35 USD/EURO
- If you are NOT a Mechanic certified by a 1st level Training Center endorsed by the AIMPB: Presenting the ECC Main Version: Cost 50 USD/EURO
The World Digital Certificate issued on BlockChain by the AIMPB is valid for two (2) years. Why BlockChain?

AIMPB CERTIFIED WORKSHOPS are workshops from CERTIFIED MECHANICS or CORPORATE MEMBERS that have been reviewed, improved, updated or built based on the strict policies of good handling, social responsibility, liability environmental, quality in procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, supplies and in general, complying with the qualitative and quantitative guidelines of a Responsible, Ethical, Modern and Transparent Bicycle Workshop, where the possibility of adequately servicing modern bicycles is viable.
The most important clients prefer and trust this type of workshops and the AIMPB to monitor them over time.
Once registration is completed, your workshop is eligible to apply as an AIMPB Certified Workshop. AIMPB Certified Workshops must meet the following criteria, which will be reviewed in 2 annual in-person visits (scheduled and surprise):
- Operate as a legal business in your local market.
- Present an environmentally responsible waste and input management policy.
- Employ suitable personnel and under Legal working conditions.
- Manage a minimum and adequate work space (light, ventilation, space, cleanliness).
- Operate with the appropriate tools and equipment in accordance with AIMPB policies and recommendations.
To have a CERTIFIED WORKSHOP you must contribute a contribution every two years in your local currency equivalent to 300 USD/ EURO *

CORPORATE MEMBERS create the backbone of support for our Non-Profit Organization. Corporate members have a variety of tax and positioning benefits available to them.
Your support goes directly to AIMPB's daily budget. That budget includes educational scholarships, training and education events, a hardship fund, and AIMPB's general operating costs, such as marketing, digital networking, events, and all activities necessary to make AIMPB's mission a reality.
